Ocean Village is a converted dock basin at the eastern end of Southampton's waterfront — once part of the commercial port, now a busy leisure marina surrounded by restaurants and residential buildings. It is a subject I've painted many times, in different seasons, times of day, and weather. This sketch captures midday summer — high sun, strong colour, and crisp reflections.
