Howard Pixton pilots his Sopwith Tabloid floatplane during the 1914 Schneider Trophy, banking hard over the water with the coastline of Monaco in the background. Pixton's decisive victory in this race marked a major milestone for early British aviation. This painting exhibited with the Guild of Aviation Artists in 2026, winning the Pioneer Award, and was part of a set of work that collectively won the Bonham Trophy.
