Norwegian Getaway

Norwegian Getaway is shown here alongside in port, her distinctive hull artwork dominating the composition. The swirling orange and blue design — created by the pop artist David "Lebo" Le Batard — transforms the ship's bow into a floating mural, making this a striking subject for the painting.
Built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg and delivered in 2014, Norwegian Getaway is a 145,655-GT Breakaway-Plus-class vessel operating for Norwegian Cruise Line. She carries almost 4,000 passengers and is home-ported in Miami, running Caribbean itineraries year-round.
This painting began as a field sketch made from Mayflower Park and was further developed in the studio for more detail. It's faintly signed GS in the lower right corner.
